The American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) is seeking a part-time, independent contractor (20 hours per week) to serve as the Accredited Provider Program Director (AP-PD; also referred to as Director of Education and Programs). This role oversees the development of AALNC’s educational programming, including the Annual Forum, webinars, textbooks and other educational offerings.

This remote, independent contractor position offers flexibility in work location. AALNC’s office is based in Chicago. Application can be found below.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop new educational products.
  • Maintain AALNC’s ANCC accreditation and ensure compliance with credentialing requirements.
  • Serve as Lead Nurse Planner and manage the Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Provider Unit.
  • Work with volunteers and staff to ensure the quality and compliance of AALNC’s educational offerings.
  • Oversee the successful execution of AALNC’s educational events and content.

Strategic Role

  • Contributes to a long-term education strategy for the organization and helps the organization work towards those goals.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and learner needs to develop innovative, evidence-based educational content.
  • Serve as AALNC’s primary authority on educational matters and represent the organization in external partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered nursing license.
  • Graduate degree.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and ANCC accreditation criteria.
  • Preferred: AALNC member, LNCC certification and/or previous nurse planner experience.

Travel Requirements

  • Expected attendance at AALNC Annual Forum (virtual in 2025) and Fall Board Meeting (Chicago).
  • Additional travel to ANCC provider workshops and AALNC operations planning meetings may be required.

Compensation: $55,000-$60,000/year, or commensurate with experience.
