AALNC 2025 - 2026 Slate Ratification

On behalf of the Leadership Succession Committee, we are pleased to present the 2025 - 2026 Slate for Board of Directors and Leadership Succession Committee. Voting is open to all RN, Retired, and Lifetime Members until Monday, March 3. The full slate and additional information regarding each candidate can be found below.

 

2025 - 2026 Leadership Succession Committee Slate
Two (2) open committee positions for a two-year term.

Lisa Mancuso, BSN, RN, CCRN-K, CLCP, LNCC,to serve a two-year term as a member of Leadership Succession Committee
Valerie Lane, BSN, RN, to serve a two-year term as a member of Leadership Succession Committee

 

2025 - 2026 Board of Directors Slate
One (1) open position for Past-President*, one (1) open position for Director-At-Large, and one (1) new open position for Director-At-Large: Novice LNC**

Karen Huff, BSN, RN, LNCC to serve one (1) one-year term as Immediate Past-President
Tommy Vaughn, RN, LNCC to serve one (1) three-year term as Director-at-Large
Maureen Elia, MSN, RN, RNC-OB to serve one (1) one-year term as Director-at-Large: Novice LNC
 

Previously elected board members extending current term of service for one year***:

Jennifer Parks, RN, LNCC continuing as President in April 2025 (Serving additional year before succeeding to Immediate Past-President)
Tamara Karlin-Bossier, RN, LNCC continuing as President-Elect in April 2025 (Serving additional year before succeeding to President)
 

Previously elected board members continuing an existing term:

Kenyetta Christmas, RN, MSN, ACNP-BC continuing into third year of first three-year term as Director-at-Large
Tory Palivoda, BS, RN, LNCC continuing into second year of first three-year term as Director-at-Large
Barbara Gaynor, BSN, RN, BCPA continuing into second year of first two-year term as Treasurer
 

*The Board has appointed Karen Huff to the slate to fill a vacancy in the Immediate Past-President role, as Jennifer Parks will be continuing as President for an additional year. Karen Huff has previously served in the Immediate Past-President role on AALNC's Board of Directors. This appointment is being made in accordance with AALNC's Bylaws Article VII Section 4 regarding vacancies, and is being presented as part of the slate ratification. Per Article VII Section 8, "The primary responsibility of the Immediate Past President is to serve in an advisory capacity as a voting member of the Board of Directors."

**Per AALNC's Bylaws Article VI Section 1, the Board must be comprised of a minimum of three Directors-at-Large. The Board may appoint additional agents as it may consider necessary. The Board voted to include a new Director-at-Large role in this election cycle, to be filled by a novice LNC. The purpose of this role is to bring a more novice LNC perspective to the Board of Directors, and to provide a Director-at-Large to AALNC's membership that exemplifies the "getting started" experience the AALNC community seeks to serve.

***The Board of Directors voted during their Fall Board Meeting in October to have the President and President-Elect repeat a year in their current roles. This leaves a vacancy in the Immediate Past-President role, which is addressed above.

AALNC RN, Retired, and Lifetime members are asked to approve the 2025 - 2026 election slate for the term extension of President and President-Elect, one (1) Past-President, one (1) Director-at-Large, one (1) Director-at-Large: Novice LNC positions, and two (2) Leadership Succession Committee positions.
